The Integrated Studies Program is a radical change from traditional. It is loose, loud, and messy. The room looks like organized chaos. The mind set has gone from “sit and git” to finding your own way and the transition that people experience from traditional education is hard one.
My colleagues and I coined the term “educational rehab” to describe this transition. We experienced it and our students experience it. We are trying to shake the passivity from students and teachers alike and empower them to take ownership of their learning. Once this happens, everything becomes possible.
